Sketch for the perfect blanket fort. This version includes a laptop inside the fort, which I later took out. 

The numbers in red will correlate to the different steps to making a perfect blanket fort. I like the idea of the adults building the fort on one side, and then playing inside on the other.

This background is not working... The pillows have been placed inside the fort, now I'll work on adding linework and pen in photostop or mangastudio. 

Adding some background features for depth. The background is better but not quite dark enough. I added the figures in in Photoshop and got to experiment with some new digital watercolor brushes I purchased. 

The final spread! Had a lot of fun with this illustration. Plus I build a pillow fort for research.
